T20 Mumbai League 2026: Full List of Captains of Men's and Women's Teams Ahead of New Season

The T20 Mumbai League 2026 is all set to return with a star-studded lineup of players, while the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women's League promises to usher in a new era for women's cricket in the city.

Ahead of the tournament's June 1 start at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, the Mumbai Cricket Association organised a grand season launch event featuring captains and team representatives from all participating franchises.

The event saw established India stars such as Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur and Shivam Dube share the stage with some of Mumbai's most promising domestic cricketers.

The men's competition will feature eight teams, while the women's tournament will make its debut with three franchises competing for the inaugural title. Here

Rahane, Iyer Headline Star-Studded Captains' List

The biggest attraction among the men's captains is former India Test captain Ajinkya Rahane, who will lead North Mumbai Panthers. Rahane recently guided Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and remains one of Mumbai's most accomplished cricketers.

India batter Shreyas Iyer will captain SOBO Mumbai Falcons, while all-rounder Shivam Dube takes charge of Arcs Andheri. Fast-bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur will lead Eagle Thane Strikers as the franchise eyes a strong campaign.

Defending champions Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals will once again be led by Siddhesh Lad, while Sarfaraz Khan will captain Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs.

Women's League Begins New Chapter

The inaugural T20 Mumbai Women's League marks a significant milestone for Mumbai cricket. The tournament aims to provide a platform for emerging women cricketers to showcase their talent alongside established domestic stars.

Mumbai and India all-rounder Sayali Satghare will captain SOBO Mumbai Falcons, while experienced campaigners Humairaa Kaazi and Saima Thakor will lead Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs and Thane Sky Risers respectively.

The men's and women's tournaments will run concurrently from June 1 to June 13 at the Wankhede Stadium, with all matches being broadcast live on JioHotstar and Star Sports Network.
