Decho Por Borirak and Pompet PongSuphan PK produced non-stop action in their flyweight Muay Thai main event at ONE Friday Fights 138 on Friday, 16 January, with the former ultimately doing enough to claim
a unanimous decision at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.
The Thai sluggers left everything inside the ring to close out an entertaining night on the world's largest martial arts organisation's first spectacle of the year, setting the bar high for 2026.
Low kicks and body kicks came at blinding speed from both fighters at the start, before Decho landed a body punch and Pompet answered back with an elbow in opening exchanges.
The 22-year-old drove multiple knees into the body and connected with punches in bunches during the second round, as the PK Saenchai Muaythaigym warrior kept action tight but was outpaced and outworked.
With the fight still hanging in the balance in the final frame, both men stayed in proximity to deliver another entertaining three minutes as Decho pushed forward more often whilst working at higher pace.
When the final bell sounded, Decho's brilliant offence and work rate proved decisive as all three judges scored it for the Singha Mawynn representative, improving his record to 49-21 and moving closer to the coveted US$100,000 contract.
Undefeated British-Pakistani warrior Ubaid "Bad" Hussain put on another flawless performance to emerge victorious in his flyweight Muay Thai featured bout against Thai standout Brazil Aekmuangnon with a dominant unanimous decision victory.
From the opening bell, the 20-year-old set a hard pace, pressing forward and giving his opposite number no room to operate whilst landing a pair of knee strikes followed by punches.
The second round followed a similar pattern as Hussain stayed on the front foot, mixing punches, elbows, and knees, which forced the Aekmuangnon affiliate into a defensive shell as minutes slipped away relentlessly.
The young gun continued his mastery in proximity, landing with accuracy, finding openings, and finishing the bout in cruise control before all three judges sided with Hussain, who moved to 14-0 overall and 5-0 in ONE.
