Aitana Bonmati, a key player for Spain, has sustained a broken leg during training. This injury will keep her out of action for an extended period. The midfielder landed awkwardly on Sunday, just before
the Nations League final second leg against Germany scheduled for Tuesday.
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFF) confirmed that Bonmati has a fracture in her left fibula. Consequently, she will miss the upcoming match after playing 77 minutes in the first leg held in Kaiserslautern last Friday.

The three-time women's Ballon d'Or recipient will now focus on her recovery in Barcelona. Last season, she was instrumental in helping her club secure a domestic treble. Additionally, Bonmati was honoured as the Champions League's player of the season after leading Barcelona to the final.
Despite her absence, Spain aims to defend their Womenβs Nations League title successfully. They are set to face Germany at Riyadh Air Metropolitano on Tuesday without their star midfielder.
