Paris Saint-Germain's coach, Luis Enrique, expressed his disappointment over the team's injury woes this season. Despite these setbacks, he emphasised that PSG must strive for better performances. The
team faced a 2-1 defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, marking their first loss in the competition this season.
PSG's match against Bayern saw Luis Diaz score twice before being sent off for a reckless tackle on Achraf Hakimi. This incident added to PSG's frustrations as Ousmane Dembele had already left the field with an injury after having a goal disallowed for offside. Although Joao Neves scored for PSG, they couldn't capitalise on their second-half advantage.
Enrique acknowledged Bayern's superior performance in the first half, noting that they created more chances. He admitted that PSG gave away too many opportunities, which led to them trailing at halftime. However, with an extra player in the second half, PSG showed improvement but failed to secure a win.
The coach lamented not having a full squad available this season but remained optimistic about overcoming these challenges. "I can't remember a single match with the full squad, but it's our responsibility to do better," he stated. He hopes to regain form and have players return to their best level as the season progresses.
Despite their struggles, PSG remains at the top of Ligue 1, albeit by just two points after failing to win four of their first 11 games. Enrique remains calm and confident that his team will overcome these difficulties and improve as injured players return.

When asked about Dembele and Hakimi's injuries, Enrique said they would need medical evaluations to determine their conditions. He clarified that Dembele's current injury is unrelated to any previous ones and acknowledged that injuries are part of football.
Enrique drew parallels with Jamal Musiala's injury at the Club World Cup, attributing such incidents to bad luck rather than negligence or poor preparation. Despite these challenges, he remains hopeful for a successful season ahead.
