AC Milan came from behind to defeat Como 3-1 in Serie A, extending an unbeaten league run to 19 matches. Christopher Nkunku scored from the penalty spot and Adrien Rabiot added a second-half double, while
Mike Maignan produced eight saves to deny a Como side that threatened throughout.
The result ended Como’s perfect home record this Serie A season after five wins and four draws. Milan’s run of 19 league games without defeat, with 12 wins and seven draws, matches their sequence from January to May 2005 under Carlo Ancelotti, when they won 15 and drew four.
Como struck first after 10 minutes, putting Milan under pressure and lifting the home crowd. Nkunku levelled from the spot, shifting momentum before half-time. Rabiot then struck twice after the break, turning a difficult away match into a 3-1 win, although both sides continued to create chances.
Milan’s approach changed several times during the match as Massimiliano Allegri reacted to Como’s threat. "We started playing with four midfielders in possession, trying to create more passing lines with [Youssouf]Fofana, but we lost our unity after going behind and ran quite a few risks on their through-balls and counter-attacks, so Maignan kept us alive," Allegri told DAZN Italia.
Como created several clear opportunities and finished with higher expected goals, led by Nico Paz and Lucas da Cunha. Paz hit the crossbar with one of eight attempts and kept testing Maignan, who repeatedly intervened. The underlying numbers reflected Como’s pressure, but Milan converted decisive moments at key stages.

Allegri highlighted the tactical adjustments that shaped the second half against Como. "Once we got back on level terms against a strong Como side that plays very well, and can be dangerous, I moved to three upfront, but after we turned it around and took the lead, I returned to how we started. "
The Milan coach underlined his squad’s mentality and the turning point provided by Nkunku’s penalty. "We had other chances too, and so did Como. This is a very resilient team and we wanted the result at all costs. We did well and were also fortunate to equalise with the penalty, but then the game changed completely after the restart. "
AC Milan Serie A win over Como and Fabregas response
Como boss Cesc Fabregas focused on the psychological side for a young group after the 3-1 defeat. "We have to work on mentality, as this is a young team. Usually I speak to the players right after the final whistle, but I couldnt do it today," revealed Fabregas, who felt the performance merited more.
Fabregas stressed both frustration and respect for Milan’s decisive players in Serie A. "What can you say to lads who played like this and lost 3-1? It doesnt happen often. Milan deserve credit for the game they played, bravo Maignan and Rabiot, sometimes you have to just tip your hat and say the individuals won it. "
The Como coach also pointed to specific tactical details identified before facing AC Milan. "We had studied Milan and knew a few areas where they could hurt us, and they did it in one of the situations wed discussed. It hurts, obviously, but defeats help you to grow and we have real margin for improvement. "
Milan’s victory at Como strengthens an already long unbeaten Serie A sequence and confirms effective game management under pressure. Como, who created more xG and saw Paz hit the bar, leave with no points but evidence of competitive play, while both coaches emphasised mentality and individual quality as decisive factors.
