Haryana Thunders were crowned champions of the Pro Wrestling League 2026 after edging past Delhi Dangal Warriors 5-4 in a pulsating final that went down to the very last bout at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Sunday night.
With the scores locked at 4-4 after eight bouts, the championship hinged on the decisive women's 62 kg contest. Rising to the moment, Paris Olympic silver medallist Iryna Koliadenko delivered a ruthless display of control and composure, sealing a 16-0 technical superiority win to hand Haryana Thunders the PWL 2026 trophy.
The championship night opened with Delhi striking first through the unbeaten Bayramov in the men's 74 kg bout, where he controlled proceedings for an 8-2 win.
Haryana responded immediately in the women's 76 kg
category as U20 world champion Kajal Dhochak edged past European champion Anastasiya Alpyeyeva 3-1 to level the tie.
Momentum swung again in the men's 65 kg bout when Delhi captain Sujeet Kalkal produced a late surge to defeat world championships silver medallist Tumur Ochir Tulga 8-6. Haryana hit back through their talisman Yui Susaki, who showcased her pedigree with a dominant technical superiority win to make it 2-2.
Delhi regained the lead in the men's 86 kg bout as Asian Championship bronze medallist Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar overwhelmed Ashirov Ashraf 11-0. Haryana responded strongly through Akshay Dhere, who secured a technical superiority victory in the men's 57 kg contest.
The heavyweight 125 kg bout proved pivotal, with Ronak powering Delhi back into the lead with a 12-2 win. Haryana refused to relent, however, as Neha Sangwan pinned Anjali in the women's 57 kg bout to level the final at 4-4 and force a decider.
That set the stage for Koliadenko's emphatic finish, as she closed out the championship with authority and sparked celebrations in the Haryana camp.
