Where Is Abhishek Sharma Going Wrong?
However, the major concern for Sharma has been the way in which he has been dismissed. Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani accounted for Abhishek in all three matches. In the opening game, the Indian opener chased a wide delivery and sliced it towards the deep, where he was caught. In the second, he attempted to play a rising delivery but only managed to chip it to backward point. The third dismissal saw him try to create room against the angle, only to edge the ball behind.

While the dismissals were different, they exposed a recurring weakness: Abhishek appeared uncomfortable when facing pace outside the off stump. The struggles were particularly significant given the opposition. Zimbabwe was expected to provide an opportunity for Abhishek to regain confidence, but the series instead highlighted the issues that have troubled him in recent months.
