England's Joe Root has re-entered the top 10 of the ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings, while teammate Ben Duckett has moved into the top 20 after their standout performances in England's ODI series win over India,
the team's first bilateral ODI series triumph against India since 2018.
Root climbed four places to eighth in the rankings after registering unbeaten scores of 76, 99 and 74 across the three-match series, marking his return to the ODI top 10 for the first time in five years.
ICC Rankings: RoKo Remain In 3rd & 4th Position
India opener Rohit Sharma's valiant knock of 138 at Lord's has helped him close the gap with Virat Kohli to just nine rating points as the two remain in third and fourth positions with captain Shubman Gill second, just one point behind top-ranked Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand who has 802 rating points. Shreyas Iyer is up two places to 13th after a knock of 66 in the second ODI in Cardiff.
Alzarri Joseph of the West Indies and Axar Patel of India have each gained 10 slots to reach 26th and 32nd positions in the bowling rankings while all-rounder Sam Curran's haul of four for 49 at Lord's has helped him progress 10 spots to 70th.
ICC Rankings: Bowlers Make Their Mark
The latest ICC Men's ODI Bowling Rankings have witnessed a lot of shuffling with New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner and West Indies spinner Gudakesh Motie making impressive gains after strong performances in their respective series.
Santner climbed three places to fourth after returning figures of 2/15 and 2/36 in New Zealand's victories in the third and fourth ODIs. Motie also enjoyed a significant rise, jumping seven places to joint-ninth following his match-winning spell of 5/49 in the fourth ODI.
New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell also made progress, moving up 14 places to 29th in the ODI bowling rankings, while climbing two spots to third in the ICC Men's ODI All-Rounder Rankings. Meanwhile, the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings saw several players achieve career milestones after the recently concluded Bangladesh-Zimbabwe series.
Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan reached a career-best 20th position among T20I batters after finishing as the highest run-scorer in the three-match series, which Bangladesh won 2-1.
Teammate Saif Hassan also registered a notable improvement, climbing 10 places to 27th after his crucial 55-run knock in the second T20I. Zimbabwe batter Brian Bennett, who amassed 102 runs during the series, entered the top 10 for the first time, achieving a career-best ninth place.
Bangladesh's bowling unit was rewarded as well, with Mahedi Hasan advancing four places to 19th, while Rishad Hossain jumped eight spots to 25th in the T20I bowling rankings.
Zimbabwe pacer Richard Ngarava was another major mover, surging from 69th to a career-high 32nd after finishing the series with eight wickets, underlining his impact with the ball.
