India will be taking on South Africa in the 2nd Test of the two-match series, which starts from Saturday (November 22) at the Barsapara Stadium.
The Indian team suffered a dismal defeat at the Eden Gardens,
which has made a huge dent in their World Test Championship prospects. As India head into the Guwahati Test, they will also miss their captain Shubman Gill.
Gill has been ruled out with a neck injury in the Eden Test, and Rishabh Pant will captain the hosts at the venue. It is also going to be a historic Test in Guwahati, which will be the 30th venue in the country.
Dhruv Jurel is set to continue as a batter, while Sai Sudharsan has come into the side as a replacement of Gill, while Nitish Reddy has replaced Axar Patel. In terms of the bowling department, India is set to stick with two pacers - Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.

The India vs South Africa 2nd Test will start from 9 am IST each day, and it will continue till 4 pm IST. The early start is to save daylight time as Guwahati belongs in the eastern part of the nation. The match will also witness a unique phenomena, as the Tea session will be taken before Lunch.
