Bournemouth stretched an impressive Premier League unbeaten streak to four matches with a controlled 2-0 victory over Wolves, as Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott scored in each half, leaving Rob Edwards' side further rooted to the bottom and deepening an already severe relegation threat.
The win also came on a landmark afternoon for Andoni Iraola, who took charge of his 100th Premier League game for Bournemouth, with the result strengthening a European push and moving the visitors within five points of the top four, while Wolves stayed 17 points from safety.
Spanish head coach Iraola became only the third Spaniard to reach 100 Premier League matches, joining Rafael Benitez and Mikel Arteta, and Bournemouth marked the occasion with an organised display
that combined sharp attacking moves in the first half with disciplined defending as Wolves increased the pressure later on.
Although Bournemouth finished with fewer attempts, the visitors showed greater efficiency in both penalty areas, soaking up long spells of Wolves possession and then punishing lapses, with Kroupi producing a clinical first-half strike before Scott settled the contest from close range late on.
Wolves started on the front foot and believed they had taken the lead when Mateus Mane finished a promising move, but the effort was ruled out after Rodrigo Gomes was judged offside in the build-up, a setback that proved costly as Bournemouth then grew in confidence.
The breakthrough arrived in the 33rd minute, when Kroupi reacted first to a bouncing ball inside the area and drove a fierce shot beyond Jose Sa and into the roof of the net, completing a flowing attack that had involved neat link play from Scott and Amine Adli.
Rob Edwards' team wrestled back momentum after the interval and pushed Bournemouth deeper, yet lacked the finishing touch, with Tolu Arokodare shooting straight at Djordje Petrovic from a Hugo Bueno cross, substitute and Crystal Palace target Jorgen Strand Larsen slicing a volley, and Joao Gomes heading a Bueno corner against the post.
Bournemouth's second goal came when debutant substitute Rayan sprinted down the left and reached the byline before cutting the ball across, allowing Scott to arrive unmarked and convert from close range, a precise move that effectively ended Wolves' hopes of rescuing any points.

Kroupi's impact extended beyond the scoreline, with the forward's eighth Premier League goal of the season placing Kroupi second on the all-time list for French teenagers in a single campaign, behind only Nicolas Anelka, who scored 13 league goals in the 1998-99 season for Arsenal.
Match data underlined Wolves' frustration, as the hosts produced more shots, efforts on target and higher expected goals than Bournemouth, yet failed to convert pressure into points, leaving Iraola's side well placed in mid-table and looking upwards as the season moves into a crucial phase.
| Team | Shots | Shots on Target | Expected Goals (xG) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wolves | 17 | 7 | 1.44 |
| Bournemouth | 9 | 4 | 1.36 |
