The Madhya Pradesh League 2026 starts on June 3 in Indore, with a bigger season for men's and women's cricket. Ten men's teams and five women's franchises play across venues in the city, led by key fixtures at Holkar Stadium and Daly College.
The men's opener features Gwalior Cheetahs against Ujjain Falcons on June 3. The match starts at 7:30 PM at Holkar Stadium. The women's league begins on June 4. Chambal Ghariyals face Gwalior Shernis at 10:00 AM at Daly College.
Former MPL Chairman Mahanaaryaman Scindia says the new schedule adds more teams, more matches, and an expanded women's competition. He says the league offers a strong platform for emerging cricketers and expects high-quality cricket and strong support from fans across Madhya Pradesh.
The women's tournament uses a simple format. The top team on the points table reaches the final directly. The Eliminator, for the next best sides, is on June 12. The women's final is scheduled on June 13 at Holkar Stadium in Indore.
From June 4, the men's league stage includes double-headers and triple-headers. On June 4, Malwa Stallions meet Chambal Ghariyals at 3:00 PM. Later, Bhopal Leopards play Indore Pink Panthers at 7:30 PM, both matches at Holkar Stadium.
The men's league phase runs till June 24. Both men's semi-finals are on June 25 at Holkar Stadium. The Madhya Pradesh League 2026 men's final is on June 26. The title clash begins at 7:30 PM, also at Holkar Stadium.
Madhya Pradesh League 2026: 3 New Teams Join The League
Three new men's teams join the tournament. Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons, and Royal Nimar Eagles enter the league. They join Bhopal Leopards, Bundelkhand Bulls, Chambal Ghariyals, Gwalior Cheetahs, Indore Pink Panthers, Jabalpur Royal Lions, and Rewa Jaguars in the ten-team field.
The women's competition grows to five teams. New entrants Gwalior Shernis and Royal Nimar Eagles join the line-up. They compete with Bhopal Wolves, Bundelkhand Bulls and Chambal Ghariyals. Organisers expect the longer roster to create more chances for local players.
With added franchises and a wider format in both sections, MPL 2026 aims to give more players state-level exposure. Organisers highlight the focus on nurturing talent from across Madhya Pradesh while offering steady cricket action for followers of the league.
