Allen has had a highly inconsistent campaign in IPL 2026. Across five innings, Allen has scored 81 runs at an average of 16.2 with a striking strike rate of 192.85. His only knock came against the Mumbai Indians, where he smashed 37 off 17 balls, which looked a little promising.
However,
his remaining innings have shown a worrying pattern of early dismissals with scores of 7 and 9 against the PBKS and the LSG. The New Zealander looked poor against Chennai, also. This string of low scores highlights his inconsistency and tendency to get exposed when bowlers target his weaknesses early.
