‘It’s Your Fault’: Mitchell Starc, Mehidy Trade Words After Mid-Pitch Collision

Mitchell Starc and Mehidy Hasan Miraz were involved in a heated exchange during the second day of the first Test between Australia and Bangladesh in Darwin after the pair collided while attempting to complete a quick single.

The confrontation came as Bangladesh continued to build a commanding position at Marrara Stadium, with the visitors eventually reaching 6-351 at stumps to take a 153-run lead. The argument was quickly brought under control by the umpire, but not before Starc and Mehidy exchanged words in the middle.

Mehidy told Starc: "Watch where you're running. You're not covering the line. "

Starc rejected the suggestion that he was responsible for the collision, responding: "No, that's not my fault. It's your fault. "

The exchange then escalated, with Starc reportedly telling Mehidy to come out to bat in the following over.

"Come out to bat in the next over. I'll see you," Starc was reported to have said.

Umpire intervenes as tensions flare

The argument did not develop into a physical confrontation, with the umpire stepping in to separate the players and bring the exchange to an end.

The incident came during a difficult day for Australia, who had fought back with a series of wickets but remained firmly behind in the Test.

Starc had already taken two wickets in Bangladesh's innings, removing Litton Das and later playing a role in the dismissal of Tanzid Hasan after taking a catch at long-off. The fast bowler was also involved in the exchange with Mehidy as Bangladesh continued to frustrate Australia's attack.
