Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of India's upcoming Asia Cup and Asian Games campaigns after suffering a high-grade right hamstring tear while playing in The Hundred in England.
The BCCI confirmed on Friday that Rodrigues sustained the injury on August 3 and was subsequently assessed by the board's medical team at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Her absence leaves India without one of their key batting options for two major tournaments.

Rodrigues picked up the injury while playing for Southern Brave in The Hundred in England.
The 25-year-old was assessed after returning to India, with the BCCI confirming that the medical evaluation had identified a high-grade tear in her right hamstring.
"Jemimah Rodrigues sustained a right hamstring
injury on 3rd August while playing in The Hundred in England. The BCCI Medical Team clinically assessed her at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, and the assessment confirmed a high-grade tear," the BCCI said in a statement.
"Consequently, she has been ruled out of the upcoming ACC Women's Asia Cup in the UAE and the Asian Games in Japan. "
Pratika Rawal replaces Jemimah Rodrigues
The Women's Selection Committee has named Pratika Rawal as Rodrigues' replacement for the Asia Cup.
Rawal joins an India squad led by Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana serving as vice-captain. Richa Ghosh and G Kamalini are the two wicketkeeping options in the updated squad.
India's Asia Cup campaign begins on August 30 against Thailand in the UAE.
