Austria's Stella Hemetsberger dethroned rival Jackie Buntan via split decision to capture the ONE Women's Strawweight Kickboxing World Title on 14 February at Lumpinee Stadium, becoming a two-sport ONE World Champion.
The 27-year-old made history as the first Austrian to claim two-sport gold in the main event of ONE Fight Night 40 on Prime Video, sweeping the series 2-0 against Buntan with her split decision victory.
The later rounds proved pivotal as Hemetsberger found her mark with the right body kick, unsettling Buntan's rhythm whilst remaining the aggressor and controlling the centre of the ring with confident forward pressure throughout the stanza.
Buntan unleashed explosive boxing combinations toward the end, trading leather until Hemetsberger's
defining push kick sent the American crashing to the canvas, though she rose immediately before the judges rendered their verdict favouring the Austrian challenger.
Scottish powerhouse Nico Carrillo rallied from an early deficit to defeat Thai phenom Shadow via unanimous decision and claim the ONE Interim Featherweight Muay Thai World Title in the co-main event at the Bangkok, Thailand, venue.
Shadow controlled the early rounds with smart defence and precision striking, tracking "King of the North" around the ring and picking him off with leg kicks and punches that threatened to pull away on the scorecards.
Carrillo began his comeback in the third, no longer retreating but pressing forward and countering Shadow's attacks with his infamous right hand, slowly turning the tide in his favour with devastating power shots throughout the frame.
The bout entered uncharted territory in round four as Carrillo dropped Shadow with a devastating right hand, whilst the final frame belonged entirely to the Scot as he stalked his opponent around the ring with confidence.
