The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 kicks off today, February 7, in India and Sri Lanka, marking the 10th edition of cricket's premier short-format global event.
Co-hosted across eight venues-five in India (Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, Kolkata's Eden Gardens, Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium) and three in Sri Lanka (Colombo's R Premadasa and Sinhalese Sports Club, Kandy's Pallekele)-the tournament runs until March 8.
It features 20 teams in a high-stakes format: four groups of five, with the top two from each advancing to Super 8s (February 22-March 1), followed by semifinals (March 4-5) and the final (March 8).

New Zealand have beaten Afghanistan in the morning encounter in Chennai, England beat Nepal in the afternoon match in Mumbai, while Sri Lanka started their World Cup campaign with a victory over Ireland.
