Pranavi Urs signed off the Joburg Ladies Open with a 1-under 72. The score left Pranavi Urs tied 36th for the week. Pranavi Urs was the only Indian golfer to reach the weekend at Randpark Golf Club.
The closing round swung several times despite the under-par total. From the second to the fifth holes, Pranavi Urs posted par, birdie, eagle, and bogey. Across the round, Pranavi Urs made two birdies and one eagle. Three bogeys also appeared on the card.
Four other Indians did not play the final two rounds. Diksha Dagar missed the cut at the Joburg Ladies Open. Tvesa Malik also failed to make the cut. Avani Prashanth and Hitaashee Bakshi joined the list after 36 holes.
Agathe Laisne won after a playoff to secure a second Ladies European Tour title this
season. Kirsten Rudgeley and Casandra Alexander finished level with Agathe Laisne at 19-under after 72 holes. The tie forced extra holes at Randpark Golf Club to decide the champion.
Casandra Alexander had closed with a 7-under 66 but bogeyed the last in regulation. Casandra Alexander then dropped out on the first playoff hole. Agathe Laisne and Kirsten Rudgeley both birdied the par-5 18th. They stayed tied for several more holes as daylight reduced.
Kirsten Rudgeley missed a seven-foot birdie chance on the third playoff hole. With light fading, officials shortened the 18th to a 78-yard pitch. Agathe Laisne hit inside 10 feet and made birdie. Kirsten Rudgeley missed from eight feet, as Agathe Laisne added a second win in two months after the Ford Women's NSW Open.
The chasing group finished behind the playoff trio on the final leaderboard. Celine Herbin took fourth at 16-under par. Cara Gainer and Pia Babnik shared fifth on 15-under par. The Ladies European Tour now shifts to Cape Town for the Investec SA Women's Open.
