South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt has surged closer to the top of the ICC Women's T20I Batting Rankings following a sensational run in the recently concluded home series against India Women's Cricket Team.
Wolvaardt climbed two spots to third place, reaching a career-best 786 rating points, after finishing as the standout performer in South Africa's 4-1 series win.
The opener amassed a record-breaking 330 runs, the highest tally by an individual in a women's bilateral T20I series, including a stunning unbeaten 92 off 56 balls. Her efforts earned her the Player of the Series award and put her within touching distance of the top two.
She now trails second-placed Beth Mooney by just two points and is 29 points behind table-topper Georgia Voll,
who leads the rankings with 815 points.
Indian Batters Make Gains in Rankings
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur returned to the top 10, moving up one place to 10th with 646 points after scoring 169 runs in the series. Wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh also made progress, climbing two spots to 22nd.
Among South African batters, Sune Luus enjoyed a strong series, jumping six places to 29th with a career-best rating of 538 after scoring 197 runs.
Bowlers' Rankings See Close Contest
The bowling charts also witnessed notable movements. India's Deepti Sharma and South Africa's Nonkululeko Mlaba moved to joint fourth place, continuing their impressive form.
The rankings are still headed by Sadia Iqbal, who retains the top spot. Sharma emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the series with seven scalps, while Mlaba followed closely with six.
India's rising left-arm spinner Shree Charani made one of the biggest jumps, climbing 12 places to a career-best 11th position after her impactful performances, including a two-wicket haul in the final match.
ODI Rankings: Sri Lanka Players Rise
In the ICC Women's ODI Rankings, Sri Lanka's Harshitha Madavi moved up three places to joint 20th after playing a key role in her team's 2-1 series win over Bangladesh, highlighted by an unbeaten 50 in the decider.
Teammate Imesha Dulani was named Player of the Series after consistent performances, including two half-centuries.
Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana advanced to 35th, while Sobhana Mostary jumped five spots to 45th.
Bowling Rankings Remain Tight in ODI Format
While the top 10 in the ODI bowling rankings remained unchanged, Bangladesh's Nahida Akter is closing in on a top-10 spot after moving up to 11th, just nine rating points behind Amelia Kerr.
Sri Lanka's Inoka Ranaweera also gained two places to reach 19th, reflecting her steady contributions in the series.

Wolvaardt's climb to third place headlines the latest ICC rankings update, underlining her consistency and dominance in the T20I format. With the gap to the top narrowing, the South African skipper is firmly in contention to claim the No.1 ranking in the near future.
