Virat Kohli joined the cricket fraternity in mourning the demise of former Punjab cricketer and India Under-19 player Amanpreet Singh Gill, whose passing was confirmed by the Punjab Cricket Association on May 6.
The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) announced the news through an official statement, expressing grief over the loss of the former cricketer who also served as a member of Punjab's Senior Selection Committee.
"Punjab Cricket Association deeply mourns the sad demise of Amanpreet Singh Gill, former Punjab cricketer and Member, Senior Selection Committee Punjab," the PCA said in a statement.
The association further highlighted Gill's contribution to Punjab cricket over the years, noting that he represented India Under-19s, Punjab, and Kings
XI Punjab - now known as Punjab Kings - during his career.

Virat Kohli, who shared the dressing room with Amanpreet during their India Under-19 days, expressed his condolences after the news emerged.
