Raul Jimenez delivered late drama at the London Stadium, heading an 85th-minute winner as Fulham beat West Ham 1-0. The result handed West Ham a seventh defeat in nine games, while Fulham celebrated a third
straight Premier League victory and climbed into the top half.
The decisive moment followed sustained pressure from Fulham. Ollie Scarles could not clear Harry Wilson’s first cross, and Wilson’s second delivery found Jimenez, who guided a precise header past Alphonse Areola. Fulham then managed the final minutes well, shutting down West Ham’s late attempts.
Earlier, Fulham had created the clearer chances. Areola tipped over a powerful, dipping strike from Harry Wilson from long range. The West Ham goalkeeper then reacted with his feet to block Joachim Andersen’s swerving effort from distance, as Fulham controlled much of the first half.
West Ham improved after the interval and carved out a major chance on 65 minutes. Soungoutou Magassa pulled the ball back across goal, but Jarrod Bowen, from inside the six-yard box, failed to direct the cutback on target. Substitute Callum Wilson then went close with two efforts, each just wide.

The underlying numbers also edged towards Fulham. The visitors registered 15 shots and 1.27 expected goals, compared with West Ham’s 11 attempts and 0.87 expected goals. The clinical touch belonged to Jimenez, whose late header separated two sides that had struggled to create clear openings.
For West Ham, the defeat continued a difficult 2025 at home. They recorded an 11th Premier League home loss of the calendar year, alongside four wins and three draws. That total of 11 home league defeats equals the club’s worst figure, previously set in 1967.
Nuno’s team also set an unwanted London record. West Ham became the first side to lose six straight London derbies in a single Premier League season since Fulham were beaten in all 10 such fixtures in 2018-19. Local contests have brought little comfort for Nuno’s squad.
Jimenez’s personal record against West Ham strengthened further. The forward has now scored seven Premier League goals against the Hammers, more than against any other opponent. This was Jimenez’s first league goal away to West Ham since June 2020, when playing for Nuno’s Wolves, underlining a familiar threat.
With this result, Fulham’s momentum grows, supported by resilient defending and key saves, while West Ham’s form and home record remain under pressure. The contrasting trends, highlighted by the numbers and historical markers, leave Fulham looking upward in the table and West Ham searching for answers.
