Bayern Munich's Harry Kane expressed confidence despite their 18-match unbeaten run ending against Arsenal in the Champions League. The match at Emirates Stadium saw Bayern defeated 3-1, with goals from
Jurrien Timber, Noni Madueke, and Gabriel Martinelli. Lennart Karl scored for Bayern. Previously, Bayern had a strong record against Arsenal, remaining unbeaten in five encounters.
Kane emphasised that Bayern should not panic over this loss, highlighting their consistent performance throughout the season. "It was a tough game which is kind of what we expected," he told TNT Sports. He noted that the first half was competitive but acknowledged a drop in energy and intensity in the second half. Despite this being their first defeat of the season, Kane remains optimistic about learning from it.
Arsenal's proficiency in set-pieces played a crucial role in their victory, propelling Mikel Arteta's squad to the top of the Champions League standings. Kane admitted Arsenal's strength in winning first and second balls and their danger from set pieces. "They defended man for man pretty much all over the pitch," he added.
Kane experienced an unusual game at Emirates, completing 90 minutes without attempting a shot for only the third time since joining Bayern in 2023. This was also just his second goalless appearance against Arsenal in 22 career matches.

Kane remains confident about facing Arsenal again later in the Champions League stages. He pointed out Bayern's success against strong teams like Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain this season. "We have won the majority of our games," he stated, reinforcing his belief that there's no need to panic.
Vincent Kompany, Bayern's head coach, responded to Mikel Arteta's comment labelling Bayern as Europe's best team by downplaying it. "We had this discussion three weeks ago when we played PSG," he remarked. Kompany stressed that they aim to peak during crucial moments rather than being labelled as the best team prematurely.
The match highlighted Arsenal's tactical strengths and Bayern's need to adapt and learn from setbacks. Both teams remain contenders for future stages of the competition, with lessons learned shaping their strategies moving forward.
