Bangladesh national cricket team scripted history with a commanding 78-run victory over Pakistan national cricket team in the Sylhet Test, sealing a 2-0 series whitewash and registering their fourth successive Test series win.
After being put under early pressure in the first innings, Bangladesh recovered from 116/6 thanks to a brilliant 126 from Litton Das, helping the hosts post 278. Pakistan responded with 232, with Babar Azam scoring 68, but Bangladesh secured a valuable 46-run lead. Taijul Islam and Nahid Rana led the bowling effort with three wickets each.
In the second innings, Bangladesh tightened their grip on the match. Mushfiqur Rahim anchored the innings with a superb 137, supported by Mahmudul Hasan Joy's 52 and a quick 69 from Litton Das, as the hosts piled up 390 and set Pakistan a daunting target of 437.
