Vitinha is urging Paris Saint-Germain to push standards even higher in 2026 after a dominant 2025, warning that the squad must build on a year of historic success rather than settle. The midfielder, who finished third in the 2025 Ballon d'Or voting, believes the team can raise levels again despite already collecting six major trophies across the calendar year.

Vitinha expanded on those feelings, saying: "We can regret not winning the Club World Cup, but the truth is that we were once again there at the decisive moment after an exceptional tournament, and we narrowly missed out. And also, because Chelsea were better, it has to be said. But 2025 was a perfect year, or almost, and I'm very happy to have had such a great season with the whole team. Now, we have to keep this momentum going, aim even higher, and if possible, do better than these six titles. "
