Delhi Comic Con 2025 closed on 8 December with strong numbers, drawing over 52,000 visitors across three days at the NSIC Exhibition Center. Fans of comics, films, gaming and anime explored one of India's
largest pop culture gatherings, featuring cosplay contests, live performances, major gaming zones and sessions with well-known Indian and international guests.
The festival, presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Crunchyroll in association with Android, used one of Comic Con India's biggest layouts, spread over more than four acres, including outdoor areas. The scale again underlined India's rising interest in both international and local pop culture, with steady crowds from opening to closing each day.
A major draw was the expanded gaming presence. The NODWIN Gaming Arena, described as a 40,000 square feet space, hosted continuous activity. Android Land, the Lenovo Legion zone and PlayStation activation formed a large gaming cluster where fans tried new titles, watched competitions and joined casual matches throughout the weekend.
PlayStation ran the PlayStation India Cup, which kept spectators engaged around the main gaming area. Android added the Android PAN Fest, further increasing participation from mobile gaming fans. Together, these properties turned Delhi Comic Con 2025 into one of the busiest gaming meet-ups for young visitors during the festival.
Talking about the edition Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and MD, NODWIN Gaming said, "Delhi is where Comic Con India first came to life, so coming back here always feels personal. This year has been truly special as we recorded over 52,000 footfalls across three days, and Delhi once again proved why it is one of our most iconic editions. We also unveiled a massive 40,000 sq. ft. NODWIN Gaming Arena, our biggest yet, which showcased how gaming and esports have become central to youth culture. The energy hits differently, and only here will you spot a Spider-Man cosplay proudly sporting a turban. Delhi's own Yung Sammy and Aashish Solanki got the crowd roaring, and it was incredible to see homegrown talent electrifying the main stage. Moments like these made the experience absolutely epic for the fans and for us. "
International participation added to the appeal. French actor and voice artist Chloe Hollings appeared as the special overseas guest. Hollings, known worldwide as the voice of Widowmaker from the team-based game Overwatch, spoke about work across gaming titles including Valerian, Wolverine and Wolfenstein: Youngblood, and delighted fans by performing several of Widowmaker's well-known lines on stage.
Comic book sessions focused strongly on Indian storytelling. PRAN Entertainment revisited the legacy of Pran Kumar Sharma, creator of characters like Chacha Chaudhary, Sabu, Billoo and Pinki, drawing long-time readers. Bullseye Press highlighted mythological and superhero-inspired stories rooted in Indian settings, while Amar Chitra Katha revisited narratives from the Ramayana, Mahabharata and diverse folk traditions, inspiring nostalgia among older attendees and curiosity among children.
The programming also covered creative engagement beyond reading. A doodle booth allowed visitors to commission custom sketches, while the U & V Works miniature pottery booth offered small handcrafted pieces. These zones gave attendees personalised souvenirs and added another layer to the artistic atmosphere that surrounded the main halls and outdoor space.
Delhi Comic Con 2025 cosplay and Delhi Comic Con 2025 fan activities
Cosplay again stood at the centre of fan activity. Over 500 cosplayers participated during the festival. On Sunday, a cosplayer dressed as a Death Guard from Warhammer 40,000 won the Indian Championship of Cosplay Delhi Qualifier and received a cash prize of ₹50,000, underlining the competitive standards and preparation involved.
The range of costumes impressed visitors, with characters such as Ringwraith, Mr. Fantastic, Loki, Denji, Zoro, Wolverine, Black Panther, Iron Man and Popeye all represented. One participant carried a prop measuring more than ten feet in length, which showed the amount of effort and craftsmanship many cosplayers invested in their outfits and stage presence.
Across the grounds, experiential brand zones stayed busy. The Maruti Suzuki Arena Reflex Zones and the Crunchyroll Experience Arena offered interactive games and themed installations that catered to visitors across age groups. The Avatar: Fire & Ash VR Experience Zone featured Avatar cosplayers, themed photo opportunities and activities, while Kinder Joy's Batman-inspired Gotham City allowed families to explore a recreated superhero setting together.
The main stage schedule balanced comedy, music and beatboxing. Stand-up sets by Aashish Solanki and Inder Sahani drew large crowds, followed by performances from the Hope Beatbox Crew. Rapper Yung Sammy and MC Heam delivered energetic sets that helped maintain a lively, celebratory mood alongside food courts, merchandise stalls, photo backdrops and branded engagement areas.
Expressing the success of the event, Shefali Johnson, CEO of Comic Con India, said, "Over the years, Comic Con has become a safe space for pop culture fans. In Delhi we saw fans who have been coming for three years now and are still carrying the entry tags as souvenirs, and also cosplayers who have been attending and participating for four years now. That is the level of passion and dedication seen each year at Comic Con. We aim to continue to support this fandom culture. As the first city to host Comic Con India, over the years it has witnessed the event's substantial growth and impact over the years"
