India are up against New Zealand on Sunday (January 11) in the 1st ODI of the three-match ODI series at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
Shubman Gill and his troops will be eyeing a winning start to the 50-over format while the Kiwis eye to spoil the party. This is also the first match of the men's team at the Kotambi Stadium, adding hue interest among the fans.
Gill returns as India captain while Shreyas Iyer has also made a comeback after his injury hiatus during the Australia tour. Following this ODI series, the Indian team will focus into the T20 format with the five-match series against the Black Caps, and the T20 World Cup after that.

Shubman Gill confirmed that they will be eyeing to go with different kinds of combinations.
"It looks like a good wicket, will be a little easier to bat in the 2nd innings. Playing a bit of Vijay Hazare matches is good and everyone looks in good form. The environment is always nice and calm when we are together. We are going with six bowlers. "
