Lewis Hamilton, a Ferrari driver, remains positive about his decision to join the team despite a challenging season. With two races left in 2025, the seven-time Formula One champion is sixth in the Drivers' Championship. He trails his teammate Charles Leclerc by 74 points and hasn't secured a podium finish since leaving Mercedes. Yet, Hamilton stands by his choice to join Ferrari.
Hamilton expressed that he doesn't regret joining Ferrari, acknowledging the time needed for growth within an organisation. "I'd be surprised if the other drivers are excited about next year at the end of a season because usually, you don't have a lot of energy at the end," he mentioned before the Qatar Grand Prix. "You're looking forward to time with family and stuff.
"
This year has been particularly tough for Hamilton as he aims to avoid ending a season without a podium finish for the first time in his 18-year F1 career. Last week was especially difficult when he had his worst-ever qualifying session, finishing 20th at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Despite these setbacks, Hamilton remains hopeful for improvement.
Looking ahead to the upcoming race weekend, Hamilton is optimistic about Ferrari's performance. He stated, "I think the car should be pretty decent in terms of speed profile. " Although he anticipates challenges keeping up with Red Bull, he hopes for a better outcome this weekend.

Despite frustrations during races when things haven't gone well, Hamilton is eager to see what Ferrari builds next year. He understands that success takes time and effort within any team. "I'm excited to see what the team build next year," he said. His focus remains on long-term growth and development with Ferrari.
Hamilton's determination and commitment to his new team reflect his understanding of the sport's demands and his willingness to adapt and grow with Ferrari over time.
