India's youth boxing team posted mixed but positive results at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Monday (May 4). Several bouts ended in clear decisions, while a few matches went down to tight scores. The latest results covered U-15 girls, U-15 boys, and U-17 boys as the event continued.
In the U-15 girls' quarter-finals, Khushi Rana won at 49kg by RSC in Round 1. Khushi Rana stopped Vietnam's Thi Ngoc Truc Nguyen early. At 46kg, Hanshika Attri beat Uzbekistan's Visola Bakhtiyorova 5:0. At 55kg, Nitya Pandey lost after a tough fight against Kazakhstan's Aruna Shalman.
U-17 boys also recorded key wins. Yadav Yash dominated at 50kg with a 5:0 win. Yadav Yash beat Turkmenistan's Suleyman Ahmedov with all judges
in agreement. At 60kg, Karuna Albertson Kom secured a 4:1 decision over Tajikistan's Ali Nazarov in a controlled contest.
Some U-17 bouts were closer or one-sided the other way. At 52kg, Gopal Rameshwar Ganeshe lost 2:3 to Tajikistan's Nazarov Damir after a tight fight. At 57kg, Mishra Prashant faced China's Tangjie Liu and went down 0:5, as the judges backed the Chinese boxer throughout.
In the U-15 boys' preliminary round, Samir Bohra delivered a 5:0 win at 43kg. Samir Bohra outpointed Chinese Taipei's Hao-Ting Chang with a clear margin. With decisive victories and narrow defeats across categories, India stayed in the hunt in Tashkent as the championships moved ahead.
