During this innings, Sooryavanshi surpassed Abhishek Sharma's 2024 record (42) to register the most sixes by an Indian batter in a single IPL season with 43. Mitchell Starc returned to the attack and engineered the collapse, taking three wickets in a devastating 15th over to remove Parag, Donovan Ferreira (0), and Ravi Singh (4). Starc finished with figures of 4/40, while Lungi Ngidi (2/24) and Madhav Tiwari (2/27) maintained the pressure. This disciplined bowling display caused RR to lose six wickets for just 32 runs in the closing stages.

The Rajasthan Royals failed to capitalise on a dominant early foundation, exposing a critical vulnerability in their lower-order execution against pace variations. By restricting Rajasthan from a projected 230-plus total down to 193, the Delhi Capitals' bowling unit successfully neutralised the pitch conditions.
