India is set for a four-player challenge at the inaugural MCB Ladies Classic Mauritius. Diksha Dagar, Tvesa Malik, Vani Kapoor, and Hitaashee Bakshi are in the field. The event is played at the Legends Course at Constance Belle Mare Plage in Mauritius.
The tournament has 120 players and uses a 54-hole stroke play format. The Legends Course is known for tight fairways and testing greens. Several LET names are expected, including England's Esme Hamilton, who arrives after winning the Investec SA Women's Open.
Diksha Dagar, targeting the Hero Women's Indian Open this season, starts at 7:20 am. Dagar plays with Alessandra Fanali and Alexandra Försterling. Hitaashee Bakshi is grouped with Lianna Bailey and Gabriella Cowley for the first two rounds.
Tvesa Malik is pushing to regain a tour card and opens with Lilly May Humphreys and Bobbi Brown. Vani Kapoor tees off with Corrine Viden and Chloe Williams. Kapoor also has recent Mauritius experience from the IGPL Invitation at the Anahita Course.
Hamilton begins at 7:40 am local time with Agathe Laisne of France and Sweden's Kajsa Arwefjäll. Hamilton has moved up to fourth in the LET Order of Merit. The schedule in Mauritius follows directly after the recent win in South Africa.
India's wider LET contingent looks lighter for this week's stop. LET regulars Pranavi Urs and Avani Prashanth are not playing, choosing a short break instead. The four Indian entrants now carry the main national presence into the opening rounds at the Legends Course.
