Rachel Daly's impressive performance led Aston Villa to a decisive 3-0 victory over Liverpool in the Women's Super League. This win marked Villa's first clean sheet of the season and extended Gareth Taylor's
winless streak with Liverpool. Daly scored twice, with her first goal coming just 27 seconds into the match after capitalising on a defensive error by Faye Kirby.
Shortly after her initial goal, Daly narrowly missed another opportunity from an offside position. Kirsty Hanson then doubled Villa's lead in the 28th minute. After Grant's precise pass into the box, Hanson swiftly converted it past Kirby. Despite Liverpool's struggles to create chances, Villa continued to dominate.
Villa nearly added another goal five minutes into the second half when Maya Hijikata's low free-kick hit the post. The final goal came 13 minutes before full-time when Daly scored again after Kirby saved Ebony Salmon's shot. Daly reacted quickly to beat Jenna Clark to the loose ball and score from close range.
Lucy Staniforth almost added a fourth goal for Villa during stoppage time, but her free-kick hit the crossbar. Hanson's excellent form against Liverpool continued as she scored her fourth goal against them, matching her record against Tottenham. She has now found the net in four of her last five matches against Liverpool.

Liverpool's poor start to the season continues as they became only the fourth team since the league expanded to 12 teams in 2019-20 to not win any of their first ten games (D2 L8). Meanwhile, Daly led by example with three shots and two goals from her attempts on target, marking a strong start to her scoring tally this season.
