Brazil landed in Group C for the FIFA World Cup 2026 as the Selecao have been handed a tricky group in the draw on Friday (December 5).
The five-time World champions have had a long stretch of struggle
in the global competition, and would be desperate to make amends in the 2026 edition.
Brazil FIFA World Cup 2026 Group
This group features Brazil as the top seed from Pot 1, drawn with Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland. Analysts view it as winnable for Brazil, though Morocco poses a notable threat after their 2022 semifinal run as the first African team to reach that stage. Haiti and Scotland represent lower-seeded challenges, potentially allowing Brazil to secure advancement with strong performances.
Brazil should target the top spot to ease their knockout path, given the expanded 48-team format where the top two per group and the eight best third-placers advance. Morocco's resilience could make their matchup a highlight, testing Brazil's attack early.
Brazil World Cup 2026 Schedule
The Selecao will begin their campaign against Morocco on June 13, followed by a match against Haiti. Carlo Ancelotti's team will end their group stage against Scotland. Since their win in the 2002 World Cup, the South American giants have been disappointing at the global stage. All of Brazil's group stage matches will be played across USA.
