Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon faces another spell out, with the club confirming a right hamstring strain that is expected to keep Gordon sidelined for at least a month, as medical staff plan a fresh assessment in approximately four to six weeks.
The setback arrived after Gordon reinjured the hamstring during a road game in Milwaukee, which came on the second night of a back-to-back schedule, one day after Gordon played 33 minutes, having only recently returned under a controlled minutes plan.
Denver had eased Gordon back earlier in January, at times using Gordon from the bench across several games, yet the latest strain repeats an issue that already ruled Gordon out of 19 contests between mid-November and early January for the same right
hamstring problem.
The timing also stretches Denver’s depth, as the Nuggets are currently missing several rotation players, with Nikola Jokic out due to a left knee issue, Cameron Johnson sidelined with a right knee problem, and Christian Braun unavailable because of a left ankle injury.
Before the reinjury, Gordon averaged 17.7 points, ranking third for Denver, and 6.2 rebounds, second on the roster this season, while the 30-year-old, acquired from Orlando in a March 2021 trade, remained a key figure from the Nuggets’ 2023 NBA championship run.

The Nuggets now monitor Gordon’s recovery timeline alongside other injuries, with coaching staff likely to adjust roles and minutes across the frontcourt, as the franchise aims to manage workload and maintain competitiveness while waiting for a clearer update on Gordon’s hamstring in late February or early March.
