The Narendra Modi stadium, built in 1983 and expanded in 2020 as the world's largest cricket stadium, will host seven matches during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, starting from Saturday (April 4).
Earlier known as Motera Stadium, the venue was renamed by the Gujarat Cricket Association after the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who was also the president of the Gujarat Cricket Association (2009 - 2014).
Over the years, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has served as home venue to Gujarat state teams, the Indian cricket team, and in IPL as home to Rajasthan Royals in seasons 2010, 2014, and 2015, but has been the sole home to local team Gujarat Titans since 2022.
Narendra Modi Stadium will host seven matches in IPL 2026.
GT will first host RR and MI in April before they welcome RCB, CSK, and PBKS. The home leg will end with matches against CSK and SRH.
