Vaibhav Suryavanshi has set the Asia Cup Rising Stars ablaze with a blitzkrieg in the second match of the tournament against UAE.
Playing for India A, the southpaw scored a half-century off just 17 balls
against UAE, giving the Indian team a fantastic start as they are batting first.
Suryavanshi started in sublime fashion, hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes to get to his half-century with a strike rate of over 300.
India A have absolutely destroyed UAE so far, as they have posted 82 for 1 at the end of the first six overs. Priyansh Arya contributed with a quick 10 off 6 balls before being run out early in the innings. Meanwhile, Naman Dhir remained steady with 14 runs from 10 deliveries, complementing Suryavanshi's onslaught at the crease. The UAE bowlers, including Muhammad Rohid Khan and others, delivered spells but struggled to contain the rapid scoring. Rohid Khan bowled 3 overs conceding 30 runs, while others like Muhammad Farazuddin and Aayan Afzal Khan also went for runs.
The partnership between Suryavanshi and his partners has kept India A well placed in the powerplay overs, and the team looks poised for a big total in this developing match. The crowd at the stadium is witnessing a brilliant batting exhibition as India A aims to put up a commanding total against UAE in this Rising Stars fixture.
Suryavanshi made his IPL debut in 2025 and was excellent for Rajasthan Royals, scoring 251 runs in the season, which also included a massive century. The 15-year-old is expected to be retained by the Royals for next season as well.
