Experienced Indian winger Imran Khan is set to join Odisha FC ahead of the 2026-27 Indian Super League season after departing Chennaiyin FC following a single campaign with the Marina Machans.
MyKhel understands the player has already completed his move to Odisha ahead of the new season. There were multiple clubs interested in him, but the Manipur-born player decided to sign with the Kalinga Warriors.
Although he had a deal with Chennaiyin till 2027, Imran was convinced by the Odisha FC project and has penned a deal for the upcoming ISL season.
The 31-year-old Manipur-born attacker, known for his left-footed creativity, work rate and versatility across the flanks and half-spaces, joined Chennaiyin in January 2026 on a short-term deal. He made 10
appearances and scored once during the 2025-26 season, as his solitary goal came in a 1-0 win over Kerala Blasters.
Khan brings more than a decade of professional experience, with over 130 appearances across Indian football. His previous clubs include Jamshedpur FC, NorthEast United, FC Goa (with loan spells), NEROCA and Mohammedan Sporting. He has been a consistent performer in the ISL, contributing goals and assists while helping teams reach the latter stages of competitions. He was also called up for an India camp by former head coach Igor Stimac, but didn't make his debut.
Odisha FC, the former Super Cup champions, have begun rebuilding their squad and also secured winger Nihal Sudeesh from Kerala Blasters. Khan's arrival adds depth and experience to the Juggernauts' attacking options as they prepare for the new campaign under head coach T. G. Purushothaman.
