Juventus preserved their Serie A home unbeaten run in dramatic style, fighting back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Lazio at the Allianz Stadium, as Pierre Kalulu headed a 96th-minute equaliser that denied Maurizio Sarri’s side a first league double over the Bianconeri since 1942-43.
The comeback denied Lazio a major landmark and also extended Juventus’ strong form under Luciano Spalletti, although the hosts still left the pitch thinking two points slipped away, having generated far more chances and pressure than the visitors across a high-tempo and often frantic contest in Turin.
Lazio struck first in first-half stoppage time, punishing a rare Juventus mistake when Daniel Maldini dispossessed Manuel Locatelli in midfield and released Pedro,
whose shot deflected off Bremer and wrong-footed Michele Di Gregorio, allowing the Biancocelesti to reach the interval with a one-goal advantage.
Juventus thought the opening goal would be theirs earlier in the half, when Bremer’s powerful header forced a smart save from Ivan Provedel and Teun Koopmeiners then drilled in a low finish, only for the effort to be chalked off because Khephren Thuram was judged offside in the build-up.
Within two minutes of the restart, Lazio appeared to seize full control, finishing a swift counter-attack as Gustav Isaksen burst clear and beat Di Gregorio from a tight angle, giving Sarri’s team a 2-0 cushion and briefly silencing the home support, who had been urging an immediate response.
Juventus increased the tempo after that setback, with Kenan Yildiz and Edon Zhegrova both seeing efforts beaten away by Provedel before the hosts finally broke through in the 59th minute, when Weston McKennie met Andrea Cambiaso’s precise cross and guided a firm header beyond the Lazio goalkeeper.
The Bianconeri pressed hard for an equaliser as the half wore on, and almost levelled when Bremer seemed certain to convert from close range, but Nuno Tavares produced an outstanding last-ditch block on the line; soon after, McKennie had another header ruled out due to an offside infringement.
Lazio still carried threat on the counter and created a golden chance to seal victory when substitute Tijjani Noslin raced clear, yet Noslin fired over the crossbar from a promising position, and that miss proved decisive as Juventus launched a final wave of attacks deep into stoppage time.
Juventus vs Lazio late drama and data debrief
Six minutes into added time, Jeremie Boga swung in a teasing cross from the left and Kalulu rose to glance the ball into the far corner, completing Juventus’ comeback and forcing Lazio to settle for a draw on an evening when the visitors had twice led by two goals to nil.
The match statistics underlined Juventus’ dominance in attacking volume and quality, with the hosts attempting 34 shots to Lazio’s nine and posting an expected goals figure of 2.84 compared with the visitors’ 1.06, numbers that suggested Spalletti’s side created enough to claim all three points.
| Team | Goals | Shots | Expected Goals (xG) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Juventus | 2 | 34 | 2.84 |
| Lazio | 2 | 9 | 1.06 |
McKennie’s impact stretched beyond his goal, with the midfielder continuing a strong scoring streak under Spalletti; the United States international has now found the net seven times in all competitions since 30 October 2025, more than any other Serie A midfielder during that specific period.

Pedro also reached a personal landmark for Lazio, scoring on a 150th Serie A appearance that has been compiled entirely since turning 34; the Spaniard became only the fourth foreign player to hit that total in the three-points-per-win era, following Javier Zanetti, Samir Handanovic and Rodrigo Palacio.
Juventus leave the match frustrated by missed chances yet encouraged by their resilience, while Lazio rue Noslin’s late miss and the loss of a potential historic double; both sides, however, demonstrated competitive form that will interest Serie A followers across Europe and the Middle East.
