Russian knockout artist Abdulla Dayakaev plans to finish Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon in the main event of ONE Fight Night 39 when these two bantamweight Muay Thai stars clash on 24 January live from Bangkok's
Lumpinee Stadium.
The Dagestan-born striker brings supreme confidence into this high-stakes matchup. Dayakaev rides a four-fight winning streak and has demolished three Thai fighters in his last four bouts, showcasing his ability to compete with Thailand's best strikers.
The Russian powerhouse holds an impressive 8-1 ONE record with six finishes, earning his US$100,000 contract last year by knocking out Alessio Malatesta. Now he sets his sights on claiming the biggest victory of his career against Superbon's protege.
Dayakaev has studied Rambolek extensively, watching him fight alongside his teammates at Team Mehdi Zatout. The Russian striker acknowledges his opponent's skills with kicks, right punches, and elbows but believes his own boxing superiority will prove decisive.
"I think my power and my [timing] are better. I know his style. I watched him fight with my teammates. He's kind of good with kicks, right punches, and sometimes, elbows. But I think my boxing is best in the bantamweight division," Dayakaev said.
True to his aggressive nature, Dayakaev approaches every fight with finishing intentions. The 23-year-old Russian has built his reputation on spectacular knockouts and plans to add another highlight-reel moment to his growing collection against Rambolek.
"In all my fights, I come for the knockout. I'm always looking for a knockout. I'm coming for another bonus. Don't close your eyes. Never close your eyes when I fight," Dayakaev warned.
Beyond this immediate challenge, Dayakaev holds championship ambitions. The Russian believes he deserves this main event opportunity and feels ready for a title shot against reigning ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane.
"I think I deserve this [main event]. I think I deserve maybe the title shot also, but I will wait. Maybe next I will fight for the belt or even the interim title. But now I have a goal to finish Rambo," Dayakaev said.
