Melvine Malard assisted Rolfo's goal and managed to score just before halftime, keeping United in contention. Yet, Wolfsburg's experience shone through in the second half. Beerensteyn scored again in the 65th minute after outplaying Dominique Janssen. Gabrielle George missed a chance for United to close the gap, and Vivien Endemann sealed Wolfsburg's win by capitalising on Jayde Riviere's error during stoppage time.

In another match, Lyon showcased their resilience against Juventus. Despite trailing 3-0 at halftime due to goals from Chiara Beccari, Michela Cambiaghi, and Tatiana Pinto, Lyon fought back. Tabitha Chawinga scored on the hour mark, followed by Marie-Antoinette Katoto's goal in the 79th minute. Wendie Renard then equalised with a late penalty.
