Anusha Kutumbale kept up her streak of stunning higher seeds at the WTT Feeder Series 2026, presented by the Sports Authority of Gujarat, held at Vadodara's SAMA Indoor Sports Complex on Saturday.
The 17-year-old talent secured a spot in the women's singles semifinals with a solid 11-9, 8-11, 11-3, 11-7 win over fourth seed Yashaswini Ghorpade in just 32 minutes. This came after her earlier upset of sixth seed Lee Zion, and she'll now take on Olympian Sutirtha Mukherjee, who knocked out top seed Yang Ha Eun of Korea Republic 11-7, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8.
The other women's singles semifinal pits Korea Republic's Ryu Hanna against eighth seed Syndrela Das. In women's doubles, Sutirtha and her sister Ayhika Mukherjee advanced to the final by beating Korea Republic's Park
Gahyeon and Lee Zion 11-8, 11-3, 11-9; they'll face top seeds Yoo Yerin and Ryu Hanna.
On the men's side, top seed Manush Shah powered into the semifinals with a 12-10, 11-5, 4-11, 11-8 victory over Priyanuj Bhattacharyya, the U-19 winner of the recent WTT Youth Contender 2026. Shah meets third seed Snehit Suravajjula next, while fifth seed Akash Pal takes on seventh seed Payas Jain in the other semifinal. Pal and Jain will also clash in the men's doubles final after Pal/Mudit Dani edged wild cards Ronit Bhanja/Oishik Ghosh 8-11, 11-8, 11-8, 11-8, and Jain/Ankur Bhattacharjee outlasted Harmeet Desai/Snehit Suravajjula 9-11, 11-9, 3-11, 11-8, 11-5.
Harmeet Desai stays in contention for the mixed doubles title, partnering Yashaswini Ghorpade to a 11-9, 11-7, 11-8 win over Raegan Albuquerque/Suhana Saini. They'll face Payas Jain and Syndrela Das, who defeated Ankur Bhattacharjee/Taneesha Kotecha 11-6, 11-8, 12-10.
The event, the first WTT Feeder Series in Vadodara, is hosted by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and run by Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT).
