Kalimuendo Loan Move To Eintracht Frankfurt Confirmed After Forest Departure

Arnaud Kalimuendo has left Nottingham Forest to join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for this season’s remainder. The France forward moves to the Bundesliga with an option for a permanent transfer. Kalimuendo may debut against Borussia Dortmund on Friday, when Germany’s top flight restarts after its winter break.

Forest have sanctioned the switch despite Chris Wood suffering a serious injury that rules the striker out long term. The decision leaves Forest light in attack, though a 2-1 victory over West Ham on Tuesday slightly eased league pressure. Recruitment staff are now prioritising another centre-forward arrival during January.

Kalimuendo joined Forest from Rennes in the 2025 summer transfer window but struggled for minutes. The 23-year-old totalled

only 89 Premier League minutes this campaign, mostly from substitute appearances. Eintracht Frankfurt’s agreement runs for the rest of the 2025/26 season and includes an option to buy.

Forest have been linked with Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen as a possible replacement option. Wolves are reportedly ready to sell the Norway international this month after losing his starting spot to Tolu Arokodare. Strand Larsen impressed as a substitute against Everton, assisting Mateus Mane’s equaliser in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw.
