Crystal Palace climbed to fourth in the Premier League standings after defeating Wolves 2-0. This match marked Rob Edwards' debut as Wolves' manager. Daniel Munoz and Yeremy Pino scored two quick goals in the second half, securing the win for Palace. Before these goals, Palace missed several chances at Molineux.
Wolves had their own opportunities to score. Ladislav Krejci couldn't capitalise on a rebound from Joao Gomes' deflected free-kick, which Dean Henderson barely kept out. Meanwhile, Jean-Philippe Mateta missed a clear chance for Palace, shooting wide after being set up by Pino.
The Eagles maintained their clean sheet with solid defending, despite Jhon Arias and David Moller Wolfe failing to score for Wolves. The breakthrough came in the 63rd
minute when Munoz netted after Adam Wharton's shot was blocked by Maxence Lacroix. Pino then doubled the lead with a stunning strike off the crossbar.
Wolves have now failed to win any of their first 12 Premier League games this season. This makes them the first team since Newcastle in 2021-22 to achieve such a record. Their two points from these matches are among the lowest in top-flight history, only better than Manchester United in 1930-31 and Sheffield United in 2020-21.

Pino has been instrumental for Crystal Palace recently, contributing to five goals in his last five away matches across all competitions. He scored twice and assisted three times during this period, including goals against Liverpool at Anfield and Wolves at Molineux.
Despite the loss, Wolves showed potential in attack under Edwards' guidance. They managed eight shots with an expected goal (xG) value of 1.76 compared to Palace's xG of 1.35 from ten attempts.
