Porto confirm that Jakub Kiwior has completed a permanent transfer from Arsenal, following a loan spell last summer. The fee is reported at 17m (14.6m). Kiwior signs a four-year contract with Porto, which includes a 70m release clause.
Before arriving in Portugal, Kiwior joined Arsenal from Spezia midway through the 2022-23 campaign, when the Gunners first pushed for the Premier League title under Mikel Arteta. The defender now ends that spell in England.
The Poland international becomes a full Porto player after impressing under Francesco Farioli. Kiwior appears in 25 league matches during Porto's title-winning season. In league action, Kiwior records the second-most aerial duels won with 46, second-most tackles with 33, and the second-most interceptions
with 35.

Kiwior also contributes in Europe, as Porto advance to the Europa League quarter-finals. Porto then go out against Nottingham Forest at that stage. The defender's domestic and European performances shape Porto's decision to activate the purchase option.
The deal secures Kiwior's long-term future with Porto after a productive loan, a league title and a deep Europa League run. Arsenal lose a defender signed from Spezia in 2022-23, while Porto invest with a significant 70m clause attached.
