While former Delhi Capitals coach Hemang Badani has emerged as the reported frontrunner, two of Indian cricket's biggest names, MS Dhoni and Rahul Dravid, have also featured prominently in discussions over the vacancy.

The legendary captain led CSK to five IPL titles and worked alongside Fleming for nearly two decades, helping build the franchise's culture and identity.
His tactical acumen has long been regarded as one of the finest in world cricket, with several former players crediting him for making key on-field decisions even during Fleming's tenure.

However, there is no report suggesting that Dravid is in talks with CSK or that he has been approached by the franchise.
Hemang Badani remains the reported frontrunner
While Dhoni and Dravid are among the high-profile names being discussed, The Times of India has reported that former India batter Hemang Badani is currently the leading contender to replace Fleming.
Badani coached Delhi Capitals last season and is understood to have impressed with his tactical approach. The report also states that CSK's senior management is reviewing the franchise's cricket operations ahead of IPL 2027.
