Kylian Mbappe has reached a remarkable milestone, scoring 400 goals in his career for both club and country. The 26-year-old achieved this feat with two goals in France's 4-0 victory over Ukraine during
World Cup qualifying. This win secured France's place in the upcoming tournament. Mbappe is eager to add to his tally in a competition he excels at, having scored 12 times in 14 World Cup matches.
Mbappe's international goal record is impressive, with 55 of his career goals coming for France. Only Olivier Giroud has scored more for the national team, with 57 goals. Unfortunately, Mbappe will miss France's final qualifying match against Azerbaijan due to an ankle injury. However, he aims to surpass Giroud's record during the March international break.
At the club level, Mbappe has been prolific, especially during his time at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), where he netted 256 goals in 308 appearances. He also scored 27 times for Monaco before moving to Real Madrid. In Spain, he has continued his impressive form, scoring 62 goals in just 74 games, boasting a goal every 97.6 minutes.
In Ligue 1 alone, Mbappe has scored nearly half of his total career goals, with 191 out of 400 coming from the French league. Despite his success across various competitions, the Europa League remains the only club tournament where he hasn't found the net, having played just one match.
Mbappe has also made a significant impact in the Champions League, scoring 60 goals in 91 appearances. This achievement places him sixth on the all-time scoring list for the competition. His conversion rate at club level stands at an impressive 21.6%, with most of his goals coming from his right foot (266), followed by his left (68) and headers (10).
400 - Kylian Mbapp has tonight scored his 399th and 400th senior career goals. He also reached the 100 & 300 milestones with France, against Andorra in June 2019 and Gibraltar in November 2023. Bleu.pic.twitter.com/T8a7jLrt6ROptaJean (@OptaJean)November 13, 2025
After reaching this milestone against Ukraine, Mbappe expressed aspirations similar to Cristiano Ronaldo's goal of achieving a total of 1,000 career goals. Given his current scoring pace and consistency across different leagues and competitions, many believe this ambitious target is within reach.
