A number of world beaters in Women's cricket will feature in this WBBL 2025 edition. South Africa batter Laura Wolvaardt will play for Adelaide Strikers, while Alice Capsey playing for Melbourne Renegades. Sydney Sixers boast talents like Ashleigh Gardner and Alyssa Healy.
Sydney Thunder have Chamari Athapaththu and Heather Knight leading their squad. Perth Scorchers feature captain Sophie Devine, and Melbourne Stars are led by Meg Lanning alongside Amy Jones. Hobart Hurricanes include Nat Sciver-Brunt and Danni Wyatt.
Who is the India Player in WBBL 2025 Season?
One of the current World Champions will feature in the WBBL this season as well. Although the likes of Deepti Sharma, Smriti Mandhana have featured in the competition in the past, this year, there's just a solitary Indian in the Big Bash League.
For WBBL 2025, Jemimah Rodrigues is the sole Indian player participating, retained by Brisbane Heat. Other Indian players like Shikha Pandey and Yastika Bhatia had nominated themselves but were not drafted for this season. Jemimah has been a consistent performer, previously playing for Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars, and now entering her fourth consecutive WBBL season with Brisbane Heat.
