The inaugural World Legends Pro T20 League (WLPT20) is comprised of six franchises, as the tournament has taken centre stage in Goa.
Running from January 26 to February 4, 2026, at Goa's 1919 Sportz Cricket Stadium, the tournament promises 18 thrilling T20 clashes. Featuring 90 cricket legends from across the globe, it blends international icons with top Indian domestic talents for high-stakes action.
The event kicks off with a spectacular opening ceremony on January 25, headlined by Sunidhi Chauhan's live performance. This fusion of cricket and entertainment sets the stage for unforgettable moments at the single-venue festival.
League Commissioner Michael Clarke shared his thrill: "These squads and captains bring back epic memories from my playing
days. Balanced with experience and T20 flair, they'll deliver non-stop spectacle for fans. " SGSE CEO Mahesh Bhupathi added, "This milestone brings sustainable, world-class cricket to Goa for the first time in years, backed by committed owners. "
Tournament Format and Key Dates
Six teams battle in a league stage where each plays five matches. Points decide standings, with the top four advancing to playoffs: semi-finals on February 3 and the grand final on February 4. Uniform conditions at the Goa stadium ensure fair, electric competition.
