The IPL 2026 auction will witness 350 players going under the hammer as the ten franchises look to form a strong squad ahead of next season.
From the 1,355 player registrations, BCCI has curbed the numbers
down to 350 after dialogues with the franchises. A total of 77 slots are up for grabs, of which 31 are overseas slots.
There is a total of 45 players with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Two Indians are among the highest base price list - Ravi Bishnoi and Venkatesh Iyer. Amid the overseas names, Australia's Cameron Green is set to be a key name, while the likes of Matheesha Pathirana, Devon Conway are also big names who shall appear in the auction.
In the 2026 mini auction, only nine players have registered themselves in the next highest base price list, which is Rs 1.5 crore.
Released KKR duo Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Spencer Johnson are in this slab. The Afghan wicketkeeper-batter had an underwhelming outing and was released, the same for the Australian pacer as well. Five Australian players are in this bracket, which also includes a Kiwi and an Englishman.
The only Indian player in this list is Umesh Yadav, who will be eyeing a return to the IPL after missing out in 2025. The 38-year-old last represented the Gujarat Titans in 2024, and has 144 wickets to his name in 148 matches.
