Sarsuna Fatal Discovery
A grim discovery was made late Friday night in Sarsuna, where the body of 39-year-old Bholanath Biswas was found. An anonymous tip-off led police to the scene on Bagpota Road, 1st Bye Lane, where they
found Biswas lying in a significant pool of blood. He was immediately transported to Vidyasagar State General Hospital, but tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The local police have since launched a comprehensive murder investigation, registering a case under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on statements from individuals present in the vicinity. Although several witnesses have been interviewed and physical evidence collected from the location, no arrests have been made as authorities work diligently to ascertain the motive behind this apparent targeted killing. The investigation is ongoing, with police examining all possible angles to bring those responsible to justice. The community remains shocked by the violent end to Mr. Biswas's life.
Cossipore Stabbing Incident
In a separate act of violence, north Kolkata's Cossipore area witnessed a stabbing incident early Friday morning. Sushil Kumar Choubey, a 22-year-old, was allegedly attacked and stabbed by an individual identified as Ranjit Yadav. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a long-standing rivalry between the two. The incident occurred around 12:10 AM near BT Road. Following the assault, the Cossipore police initiated a search operation to locate and apprehend the accused, Ranjit Yadav. Investigations into the specific details of the dispute and the circumstances leading to the stabbing are ongoing. The police are committed to ensuring the safety of the community and bringing the perpetrator to justice swiftly.
