Reduced Flight Operations
Emirates is currently implementing a scaled-back flight schedule due to ongoing restrictions in the regional airspace. This adjustment allows the airline to gradually resume services while prioritizing
passenger safety and security. The airline is diligently monitoring the evolving situation and is prepared to adapt its operations as necessary, ensuring that safety remains paramount throughout the restoration of normal flight services. Passengers are advised that this reduced capacity is a direct consequence of airspace limitations, and the airline is committed to a phased return to full operations without compromising on established safety protocols.
Traveler Advisory
Passengers are strongly encouraged to remain vigilant and consistently verify their flight status, even post-check-in, as immediate schedule modifications can occur. To facilitate prompt communication, Emirates urges travelers to ensure their contact details are current, enabling the airline to send timely alerts regarding any delays, cancellations, or rescheduling. It is recommended that customers regularly consult the airline's official website and their email inbox for the latest information before proceeding to the airport. Proactive monitoring of these channels is crucial for a smoother travel experience during this period of adjustment.
Booking Flexibility
For travelers whose journeys were impacted between February 28 and April 15, Emirates is offering generous options. You can reschedule your travel to an alternative Emirates flight to the same destination, with the new travel date extendable up to May 31. Alternatively, if you no longer wish to travel, a refund is available. Emirates advises completing any rebooking process before considering a refund, as any unused flight segments within an itinerary will be automatically canceled and refunded. Those who booked through travel agents should contact their agent directly, while customers who booked directly with Emirates can reach out through the airline's official contact channels for assistance.
Online Management
Emirates promotes the use of its online platforms, including the official website and mobile application, for convenient management of bookings. Through these digital channels, customers can track itinerary changes, accept offered alternative flights, or select new flights within 72 hours of their original departure time. You can also review and adjust various services like meal preferences and seat selections. Under the current travel waiver, which remains valid until April 30, passengers are permitted to make up to nine changes to their bookings, offering significant flexibility for travel planning and adjustments.
Support Channels
For bookings that have been partially canceled or where no confirmed flights are available, direct assistance from customer service may be required. In such instances, travelers have the option to connect with customer service representatives via live chat, phone, or by visiting ticketing offices. These channels are designated to help resolve more complex booking issues and provide personalized support to ensure travelers can navigate their travel plans effectively during this period of operational adjustments.
City Check-in Suspension
All city check-in services located within Dubai have been temporarily suspended by Emirates until further notice. While this convenient facility is unavailable, passengers can still receive in-person support at select locations. These include Emirates retail stores situated across Dubai and at Terminal 3 of Dubai Airport. As the travel landscape continues to evolve, passengers are urged to remain adaptable and stay informed about the latest updates, as further adjustments to flight schedules might be implemented with little advance warning.
