Exam Conducted Smoothly
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) hosted its lecturer grade examination across the state on Saturday, achieving a remarkably smooth and transparent process, free from any
instances of copying. This examination, designed for 18 different subjects, spanned two days, with the first day dedicated to nine subjects. The tests were organized across 17 divisional headquarters, utilizing a substantial number of centres: 278 in the morning shift and 269 in the afternoon shift. Candidates appeared for subjects like physics, biology, home science, history, and education in the first session, running from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The afternoon session, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, covered English, agriculture, commerce, and sociology, ensuring a broad spectrum of disciplines were assessed.
Candidate Participation
A significant number of aspirants participated in the UPESSC lecturer examination, with a total of 89,766 candidates appearing across Uttar Pradesh. The attendance figures revealed a notable presence of female candidates, constituting 34.89% of the participants, while male candidates represented 42.26%. This widespread participation underscores the importance of these recruitment opportunities within the state's education sector. The commission's efforts to conduct the exam efficiently and fairly were evident in the smooth arrangements made at various examination venues.
AI Monitoring Integration
To uphold the highest standards of transparency and integrity, the UPESSC implemented a sophisticated AI-based monitoring system. At the commission's headquarters, an AI-integrated control command room was established, enabling real-time surveillance of all examination centres. This advanced setup utilized AI-enabled cameras to meticulously monitor candidates' activities throughout the examination period. This technological intervention played a crucial role in preventing any form of malpractice and ensuring a level playing field for all candidates competing for lecturer positions.
Collaborative Efforts
The successful execution of the UPESSC lecturer examination was a testament to the robust coordination and active cooperation received from district administrations and local authorities. UPESSC Chairman Prashant Kumar lauded these collaborative efforts, emphasizing their essential role in establishing seamless arrangements at every examination centre. The provision of adequate security, comprehensive monitoring mechanisms, and dedicated administrative support was vital in maintaining order and ensuring the integrity of the examination process from start to finish.
